The history of LEITERMANN GmbH & Co. Fachmarkt KG goes back to 1869. At that time, Gottlob Plötner, a native of Weißenborn, settled in Göpfersdorf as a ladder maker. The family business was passed down from generation to generation and has developed from a craft business into a trading company. Today, LEITERMANN is still family-run, operates hardware stores and garden centers at seven locations in East Thuringia and West Saxony and currently employs 350 people.
